Experience Counts 35 years of experience in Contracting and Real Estate
As a former Contractor, Realtor, and Property Investor, I founded the Idea of ZenSpect a decade ago noticing there was a shortage of experienced Home Inspection Services in the area.
I have extensive experience in property restoration and renovation. I’ve also invested in historic commercial properties with involvement in small town revitalization projects. More recently, I’ve rehabbed seasonal and recreational properties in both West Virginia and Florida for resale.
As a licensed home Inspector, I am certified by the West Virginia Fire Marshall’s Office, the West Virginia Association of Home Inspectors (WVAHI), Inspector Certification Associates (ICA), Home Inspector Training Institute (HITTI), and an associate member of the West Virginia Board of Realtors (Weston, Buckhannon).
ZenSpect aims to live up to its namesake by making it as easy as possible to navigate the most stressful part of purchasing a home, and to empower my clients to move forward with confidence and clarity.

Residential Inspections
Buying a home is one of the biggest investments you will ever make. Before you buy, you should have a home inspection to avoid potentially costly repairs that would otherwise go undetected until they become even more costly. This is our typical home inspection that catches common defects so you understand the investment you’re making.
Radon Testing
Radon is colorless and odorless, and it is extremely carcinogenic. According to the EPA, radon is one of the leading contributors to the development of lung cancer, behind only smoking. For this reason, regular radon testing is key whether you’re a homeowner, or you’re interested in purchasing a home.
Mold Testing
There are over 400,000 types of mold, and while there are only a few dozen that are toxic, exposure to many molds can lead to health problems. It can also cause structural damage to your house.
Air Quality Inspections
Indoor air quality (IAq) has become a major concern when buying homes. Many materials used in new construction contain alarmingly high levels or toxic formaldehyde and harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Water Quality Testing
A water quality test is performed by an inspector who looks for contaminants in the water supply. While public water systems must test and treat their water before distributing it, these tests only cover water that hasn't left the treatment plant.
Multi-unit Inspections
A multi-unit home inspection is an essential process that should not be overlooked by potential buyers or sellers. It involves an in-depth examination of all units within a property, including structural components, electrical systems, plumbing, heating and cooling, and other interior and exterior areas.

The cost will vary based on the square footage of the home, the age of the home, and location of the home. Call, text, or email us for a quote today!
How long does a home inspection take?
Home inspections generally take 2 to 4 hours to complete. The duration of a home inspection depends on many factors such as the size of the home, the condition of the home, and the ability to access certain areas of the home (roof, crawl space, attic, etc.).
Should I attend the inspection?
Although it is not necessary, we do recommend that you attend the inspection so you can ask questions and learn more about the home. You will learn a lot from the inspection report, but we always encourage you to attend!
What if the inspection report reveals problems?
It is important to note that no house is perfect. At the end of the home inspection process, we will provide a detailed report that describes the physical condition of the property, with images and videos highlighting what may need repair or replacement.
